These are the terms for using Smart Photo Restore. They are written to be readable, not to trap you.

What we do

We restore photographs — repairing tears, fading, stains and water damage, and, on request, colourising, retouching or enlarging them. Many restorations are AI-assisted. We assess every photograph honestly and tell you if it cannot be restored.

Pricing and payment

Restoration is priced per photograph, and the rate drops with the size of your order: $18 each for 1–4, $16 each for 5–9, and $15 each for 10 or more — the rate applies to every photograph in the order. Enlargement is included; colourisation and other retouching are priced per photograph when you order; prints are quoted separately. You pay only once we confirm your photograph can be restored.

Your material

You confirm that you have the right to have the photographs you send us restored. We treat them as private and handle them as described on our Privacy page.

Our guarantee

If you are not satisfied, we will refund your order or restore it again. If a photograph cannot be restored, you are not charged.

Mailed originals

Mail-in scanning and return is $35 for up to 10 prints, plus $2 for each additional print. You send your prints to us with tracking; we scan them and return them by USPS Priority Mail with tracking and signature confirmation. Shipping always carries some risk. Carrier insurance covers only the physical value of a print, not its sentimental value, and our liability for a print lost or damaged in transit is limited to the mail-in fee you paid. If a photograph is irreplaceable, we recommend sending a phone photo or scan instead.

Limits

Restoration repairs damage and recovers detail. Where part of a photograph is missing or badly damaged, some detail has to be reconstructed rather than recovered, and results depend on the condition of the original. Turnaround varies with the condition of each photograph.
